Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) officially on Microsoft Store

WSL is out of preview and it’s now available on Microsoft Store for both Windows 10 and Windows 11 users. This version is now the default experience for new users and those who upgrade.

Also, Systemd support is now available in WSL.

With the simple command of:

wsl –install

It will automatically install WSL from Microsoft Store by default and get the Ubuntu.

With this latest update, users can run GUI Linux applications on Windows 10 as well. In the past this feature was only available for Windows 11 users.
